filling in the blanks and gaps

this is far more difficult to commit to than i imagined...but here goes:

i'll start with a conversation i had with my grandparents during my short goodbye in sioux falls for easter...it all started around my saturday adventure (skydiving, which i'll get to later) and ended up being a long winded conversation about the numerous things i have accomplished thus far in my life, leading up to the grand ol 22nd birthday that is just around the corner.

having a 4 hour car ride back got me thinking on the lists i could put together about everything i've done up until my birthday next weekend. ben, i'll need your help with this, but i want to list all of the places i've been (countries? cities would be too much), and the things i've done (i.e. skydiving, cross country road trips, vacations), i'm not sure exactly what to include, but i'm sure it will make itself clear as i go.

won't it be interesting to see what all my kids will do by the time they turn 22? or see what of the list my parents have accomplished in their forty some years? i think this will be an interesting project.

in conjunction with what i've done, i also want to create a list of the things i wish to do. how cliche right? blogging of these things? well, its a start. next time: my skydiving experience.

  1. I can only imagine the things you're kids will have experienced by this age. Without thinking about your future generations too early, their mother will certainly be willing and able to push them outside their comfort zone.

As for these lists, countries you have visited would be a good start. The lists themselves will take over before too long.

Iceland, Ireland, United Kingdom (England, Scotland and N. Ireland), Italy, Spain, Netherlands, France, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Lichtenstein (doesn't really count), Belgium, Ireland, Portugal, Morocco, Greece ~ 16

Add in any others (um... US, Mexico, Canada, other Caribbean) and you're probably over 20.

How about states? I think you've had a lot more experiences than others our age.
